Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club is designed for children who will attend our setting during the day for Daycare, and for those children who attend English Martyrs Primary School or Nursery. Competitively priced at £2.50 per hour (or £3.00 for children staying for our morning session), each child receives a full breakfast and has the chance to play & socialise with friends before their day of school starts.

Breakfast items available include:

  • Toast
  • Range of cereals
  • Fresh fruit
  • Fruit juices
  • Water
  • Milk

It should be noted that children have free range to choose their breakfast each morning, however our staff do monitor their choices and will suggest differing their decisions to ensure a healthy selection at all times. Children also have free-range over the setting, giving children the choice of who & what to play with, indoors or out.

Breakfast Club begins at 8am each morning, with children being dropped off at School at 8:50am.

Daycare

Our Daycare service is available for children aged 2-5 years old, and can be tailored to compliment the Nursery provision at English Martyrs (meaning that care for your child is shared between Tweenies and the school). This means that, should you wish, your child can be picked up/dropped off at Nursery at the appropriate times, eating their lunch within our setting in-between.

During the day, children are free to choose what and whom to play with, with some structured activities provided to encourage a routine for them to follow. Children work closely with their Key Carer and the staff team to ensure that their progress against the EYFS is measured at all times, and this will be shared with you as parents at every opportunity. The children benefit from a stimulating and resourceful indoor & outdoor learning environment, which has been designed with the ages, abilities and interests of our children in mind.

Snacks are provided at dedicated intervals, with access to milk, water and fruit at all times. Snack choices change on a weekly basis, and these are provided within the Setting foyer for you to view. Choices include:

  • Beans on Toast
  • Noodles
  • Hot Dogs
  • and more

After School Club

In line with the other services and sessions that we offer, our After School Club has been designed as a ‘shared care’ service, meaning that we work closely with English Martyrs & St. Philip’s Schools to ensure continuous care for your child. We are more than happy to pick children up from each school at the end of the day, and extra-curricular school clubs can be taken into account if you provide us with information in advance.

This service is available for children aged 3-11 years, and includes structured play activities, as well as resting times for younger children after a long day of school. Children can be picked up at any time, but must be picked up before 5:45pm each evening. As with our other sessions, a comprehensive snack is provided to all children, with choice being given to each child as to when and what they would like to eat.

Outdoor play is encouraged for all children, especially during this time because of their day in school. Again, it is completely the choice of each child what and whom they play with, although staff will gently suggest other activities for those children to centre their play around one area.
